Privacy
Beta privacy summary: no account is required and recent problems are stored only in your browser unless you clear them. When the Photo tab is marked ready, choosing to submit a cropped image sends that image to DeepSeek for transcription. PDF, natural-language, drawing, and tutor features remain unavailable.
What is sent
When you review or solve a problem, the typed expression, locale, requested domain, and a request identifier are sent to the same-origin solver service. This is necessary to parse, compute, and verify the response.
What is not used for analytics
The v1 design does not put raw expressions into product analytics or application logs. Operational measurements use status codes, timing, capability identifiers, and coarse size buckets instead.
Optional product measurement
Aggregate product analytics are disabled by default. If enabled for the public beta, events may record that a visitor started or completed a solve, opened steps, or chose a feedback category. They must not include the expression, answer, steps, request identifier, name, email address, or other free text.
Local recent history
The five most recent successful problems and answers may be stored in local browser storage for convenience. They are not synchronized to an account. Use “Clear history” in the solver or clear site data in your browser to remove them.
Cookies and identifiers
The core solver does not require an advertising cookie or cross-site identifier. The optional analytics integration must be disclosed and verified before activation. Infrastructure providers may process limited network and security information to deliver and protect the service.
Children and personal information
Do not type or upload names, faces, contact details, school records, or other personal information. Crop photos to the math problem only. The beta is designed to process mathematical expressions, not personal data.
Optional assisted input
The optional photo feature sends the selected PNG, JPEG, or WebP image and a transcription instruction to DeepSeek's official API. Proofline does not intentionally persist the image, but DeepSeek receives it for processing. DeepSeek's published policy says its services may collect submitted photos and inputs, process and store personal data in the People's Republic of China, and retain data for periods that vary by purpose and legal requirements. Read the DeepSeek Privacy Policy and Open Platform Terms.
The upload control requires a fresh acknowledgment for every transmission. Do not submit names, faces, school records, contact details, or sensitive information. Crop the image to one math problem. DeepSeek's transcription remains unverified: you must review it before the deterministic solver can produce a verified result.
Changes
If accounts, cloud history, persistent uploads, payments, or advertising are introduced later, this notice and the product consent flow must be updated before those features are enabled.
